As the officers leave the meeting, Marlene teases Hange about their past infatuation with Keith Shadis. On the day of the operation, Marlene and the other high-ranking scouts give salute to the leaders of the other branches before heading out into Wall Maria.
Relationships: Hange Zoë - Marlene and Hange had a close relationship with each other, and were seemingly old acquaintances. She seemed to take pleasure in teasing Hange and giving them a hard time.
